SHAH ALAM, April 18 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms and heavy showers in three Selangor districts until 4pm today.
In a Facebook post, MetMalaysia said the affected areas include Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor and Klang.
Similarly, the warning was also issued for Melaka and several districts within Perak (Kerian), Pahang (Pekan), Sarawak: Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian and Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya)
“The warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour which are expected to occur over the one-hour duration.
“Thunderstorms warning is a short-term warning which is valid within six hours after it was issued,” said MetMalaysia.
The warning was issued at 12.45pm today.
