SHAH ALAM, March 26 — Hulu Selangor district is expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy showers and strong wind until 4pm today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a post on Facebook said the warning was issued if signs indicate that thunderstorms with a rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour are expected to occur over a one-hour duration.
“The thunderstorm warnings are short-term, with each warning valid within six hours after being issued,” the agency posted at 1.05pm today.
MetMalaysia has also forecasted similar weather conditions in Melaka and Johor as well as several districts in Perak (Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim), Pahang (Tanah Tinggi Cameron and Raub) and Negeri Sembilan (Rembau andTampin).
