SHAH ALAM, March 12— Hulu Selangor district is expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy showers and strong wind until 10pm tonight.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a post on Facebook said the warning was issued if signs indicate that thunderstorms with a rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour are expected to occur over a one-hour duration.
“The thunderstorm warnings are short-term, with each warning valid within six hours after being issued,” the agency posted at 6.45pm today.
MetMalaysia has also forecasted similar weather conditions in several districts in Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Johor (Batu Pahat, Pontian and Johor Bahru) as well as in Sabah: Pedalaman (Keningau and Tambunan), Pantai Barat (Ranau) and Sandakan (Beluran).
