SHAH ALAM, March 11 — Four districts in Selangor are expected to undergo thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a statement issued by the agency at 12.10pm, MetMalaysia said the districts are Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat, which will experience bad weather until 6pm.
The agency also forecasted inclement weather for Kuala Lumpur as well as several districts within Perak (Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Pahang (Tanah Tinggi Cameron and Bentong) and Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu and Seremban).
“The warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour which are expected to occur over the one-hour duration.
“Thunderstorms warning is a short-term warning which is valid within six hours after it was issued,” said MetMalaysia.
