SHAH ALAM, Feb 20 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast thunderstorms and heavy rains in Selangor to occur until 9pm today.
In a post on Facebook, the department had issued the warning to take place in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya as well.
“The warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour which are expected to take place for over an hour.
“Thunderstorms warning is a short-term warning which is valid within six hours after it is issued,” the statement read.
Other states that will see the wet weather include Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.
