SHAH ALAM, Jan 5 — A total of 47,006.95 tonnes of post-flood waste was collected by eight local councils (PBT) from flood-affected areas as of 10pm last night.

According to the KDEB Waste Management report posted on Facebook last night, Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) collected the most flood waste at 20,264.50 tonnes.

This is followed by Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) with 8,407 tonnes and Klang Municipal Council (MPK) with 7,245 tonnes.

Three local councils recorded more than 95 per cent progress in the post-flood cleanup with MBSA and MPK at 95 per cent, while MBSJ (92 per cent).

Meanwhile, cleanup work has been completed at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), Sepang Municipal Council (MPS), Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj), Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) and Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS).
