SHAH ALAM, Dec 20 — Volunteer organisation Team Selangor distributed 700 food packs to flood victims at seven temporary relief centres (PPS) in the state yesterday.
Its secretariat head Syahaizel Keman said a total of 60 volunteers, including 30 students and 30 community members around Selangor, were involved in the packaging and distribution of the goods.
He said all the food packs were distributed at the PPS in Balai Majlis Pengurusan Komuniti Kampung Bukit Naga (150 packs) and Dewan Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK) Kampung Jawa (50 packs).
Meanwhile, the PPS at Sekolah Rendah Agama Padang Jawa, Kampung Teluk Menegun, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Binjai and Dewan Masjid At-Taqwa in Bukit Kapar, each received 100 packs.
The remaining 100 food packs were handed over to the representative of MPK N42B councillor.
“The packaging of the food items involved all Team Selangor volunteers, and was carried out at the Petaling Jaya City Council’s (MBPJ) Dewan PJS along Jalan 4/46. Thank you to all volunteers and MBPJ for allowing us to use their hall,” he said.
