SHAH ALAM, Dec 2 — Approximately 4,902 Selangorians have registered with and are using the Selangor Mental Health (Sehat) application, since September 1.

These include those who have undergone screening and mental health literacy tests up until November 21, said state executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.

She said a total of 18,253 views were recorded for the 30 mental health educational videos in the app, which was launched on August 30.

"The number of people advised via the app is 89. They underwent online consultation, as well as verbal calls with qualified counselors," Dr Siti Mariah said.

She was responding to a query from Subang Jaya assemblyman Michelle Ng on the Sehat app's performance, during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting today.

Dr Siti Mariah added the age range of the app's users average between 10 to 82, with the majority between 30 to 50 years old, or 57.8 per cent,

She had earlier said individuals facing mental health problems can immediately meet with experts without having to wait for long, as it is one of the initiatives improved upon in the 2022 Selangor Budget.
