SHAH ALAM, Nov 1 — Dato’ Haris Kasim has been appointed as the new Selangor State Secretary, replacing Dato’ Nor Azmie Diron, effective today.
Before this, Haris held the post of Selangor State Financial Officer.
Haris said his focus is getting Selangor to recover from the Covid-19 scourge through several strategies that will be included in the 2022 State Budget.
He explained that the tabling of the budget by the Menteri Besar requires the commitment of various parties to ensure its effectiveness to help all levels of society.
“I consider this appointment as trust (given to me) and a lot needs to be done because Selangor is not a small state. I will work with all officers so that the aspirations and vision outlined can be continued,” he said.
