KLANG, Sept 13 — The mobile Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) does not provide home inoculation instead the process will be done at selected localities.
State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said any individual with health problems or difficulties to go to the vaccination centre should refer to their local leaders.
“Their names will be forwarded to the Selangor State Health Department (JKNS) and the district health office will liaise with the non-governmental organisation on the vaccination process at home,” she said.
Dr Siti Mariah was met during the mobile Selvax programme at Kompleks Pasar Besar Meru under the Bandar Baru Klang constituency, here, yesterday.
Meanwhile she stressed that no fee is charged for the vaccination programme including to foreign people.
“We would like to inform that no fee is charged to the foreigners and should there be an additional charge later on, their management will be notified,” she said.
The mobile Selvax programme which started yesterday was initiated to ensure that everyone is included in the vaccination programme to reach herd immunity.
The initiative involving 11 constituencies is operating from 9am to 5pm for one week.
Among other constituencies selected for the programme include Batu Tiga, Tanjung Sepat, Hulu Bernam, Gombak Setia, Bukit Antarabangsa, Batang Kali, Banting, Teratai, Dengkil and Kampung Tunku.
