SHAH ALAM, Aug 1 — Selangor’s daily vaccination rate has surpassed its July target of delivering 135,000 doses of vaccines a day, says Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
The Menteri Besar said 159,000 vaccine doses were administered in the state on July 30 while 152,000 doses of Covid-19 shots were delivered yesterday under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).
“Alhamdulillah (praise be to God) we end the month of July with the vaccination success in Selangor as the daily vaccination rate in the state continues to rise.
“On July 30 and 31, 159,000 and 152,000 doses of vaccines were recorded in a day (respectively), which had exceeded the July target of 135,000 daily doses,” he said in a statement today.
Amirudin said the figure does not include the shots delivered through the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax), which has recorded a 15,000 daily vaccination rate.
“This figure will continue to climb daily. Thank you to all of the health and security officers who remain committed to delivering their service,” he added.
Earlier today, an infographic by the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) showed that the daily vaccination rate in the country stood at 519,111 yesterday.
