SHAH ALAM, July 9 — Malaysia has registered the highest number of daily Covid-19 cases at 9,180 today, surpassing the record-high 9,020 infections reported on May 29.
This brings the cumulative total to 817,838.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on a Facebook post today stated that Selangor topped the list of states with the highest number of cases, at 4,400, which saw a hike compared to the 4,152 infections recorded yesterday.
This is followed by Kuala Lumpr with 1,271 cases, Negeri Sembilan (899), and Kedah (417).
The number of cases recorded in Sarawak is at 406, Sabah (323), Johor (315), Perak (241), Melaka (222), Pahang (214), Kelantan (151), Penang (142), Terengganu (82), Labuan (80), Putrajaya (16), and Perlis (1).
