SHAH ALAM, June 6 — A total of 90,363 people in the state have participated in the free Covid-19 community screenings organised by the state government as of yesterday.
Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari informed that the total figure exceeded the target set for the programme.
“This number has exceeded the initial target of 50,000 individuals. Thank you to those who attended and cooperated during the screenings process," he posted on Facebook today.
The Selangor government is conducting active monitoring of the Covid-19 situation by initiating free screenings across the 56 state constituencies beginning May 8 until June 10.
The programme under the Covid-19 Pandemic Outbreak Mitigation Phase benefits the people of this state who are at risk, have been in close contact, are symptomatic and worried about their health status.
As of yesterday, the programme had covered 46 state constituencies.
