AMPANG, April 2 — The Selangor government plans to build a modern art museum in the state as an appreciation to the works of art.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the state has published several works through writing, which will be displayed at the museum.
“Selangor really welcome and appreciate artworks… The Selangor state (had) published some works through writing and also we will create a museum called the Selangor Modern Art Museum,” he said in the Temu Anwar (Meet Anwar) programme at Hotel Flamingo here, last night.
He said his team have also discussed with several parties in making Selangor a place for training and filming of world-class movies.
"We believe that this world is not shaped by food baskets only or great policies, or merely by investment but by our people, our country, our souls (which) also needs to be developed with cultural arts that would make us become more mature, civilized and responsible," he said.
