CCM organises entrepreneur guidance programme

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — A total of 250 entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs participated in the Entrepreneur Guidance Programme 2021 (PBU21) organised by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM).

The PBU21 themed, “Business Digitalisation”, was aimed at enlightening participants on the importance of registering their businesses and benefits of establishing them legally.

Chief executive officer, Nor Azimah Abdul Aziz, in her opening speech for the first PBU21 session delved on the importance of the programme’s content, particularly for budding entrepreneurs.

"Participants were also given exposure on business management ethics, financial management approaches as well as digital marketing strategies,” she said in a statement.

According to her, PBU21 was in line with the Prihatin Business Registration Scheme (SPPP) introduced by CCM as a support and encouragement to the community to venture into business and assist individuals affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"As of February 28, 2021, a total of 2,148 applicants had been approved including sole proprietorship and partnership businesses,” she said.

CCM expects 180,000  entrepreneurs in the B40 group and students from higher institutions to benefit from the scheme.

Meanwhile, SPPP applicants may submit their applications online through CCM’s official portal, www.ezbiz.ssm.com.my.
