MBSJ: More than 2,000 night market lots for B40 traders

By Mustakim Ramli

SHAH ALAM, March 18 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has assisted a total of 2,415 traders from the low-income group by providing proper lots to operate night markets.

Its Corporate and Strategic Management Department deputy director Azfarizal Abdul Rashid said a total of 20 locations have been identified for the activity.

“The night market locations will be managed by MBSJ to prevent any parties from taking advantage of the traders,” Azfarizal said in a statement.

He said that the local authority will also impose a reasonable rate for the rental sites in its bid to assist the traders.

“The rental rates are considered the lowest as compared to other local authorities in Selangor,” he added.
