The Selangor Menteri Besar said the process of receiving his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine went smoothly and had described it as a new and important experience for protection against the infection.

“Alhamdulillah (God willing), so far I do not feel anything (out of the ordinary). A total of 42 people received the first dose of the vaccine today (yesterday) and we have passed the monitoring period (after receiving the shots).

"According to the schedule, we will be vaccinated with the second dose on March 18," he said when met by reporters at the state-level National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme at the Shah Alam Hospital, here yesterday.

Amirudin had also advised the public to not worry or be afraid to receive the vaccine as it is safe to use.
