KOTA BHARU, Jan 11 — Galas state assemblyman Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim has tested positive for Covid-19 after taking a swab test, yesterday.
In his Facebook posting today, Mohd Syahbuddin said his wife, Nor Azila Sidi Ahmad, 40, was also tested positive and they were currently receiving treatment at the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital (HSIP) in Kuala Krai, 73 kilometres from here.
He said Gua Musang has been declared a red zone and urged all parties to exercise caution.
Yesterday, Nenggiri elected representative Ab Aziz Yusoff and Gua Musang Umno youth chief Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani were also tested positive for Covid-19.
Both of them were currently undergoing treatment and quarantine at HSIP and their conditions were stable.
