SHAH ALAM, Dec 12 — People in Selangor have been advised against crossing state or district borders as it is still categorised as a Covid-19 red zone.
Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said due to rise in workplace clusters in the state, the preventive measure should be taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus to others.
“More than 90 per cent of the clusters were identified from workplaces such as the Seruling, Hentian, Teratai, Perigi, Bah Manggis, Usaha and Sri Jujur clusters.
“Even though we may not be showing any symptoms, but we may still be carriers of the virus from being exposed to it since the state is still considered a red zone,” he said in a statement yesterday.
As such, Dr Dzulkefly had advised the public to refrain interdistrict or interstate travels in the near future.
“Selangor is still a red zone, except for Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernama and Hulu Selangor,” he added.
On Monday, the Federal government had allowed nationwide travel across districts and state borders except for areas enforced under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).
