KLANG, Dec 9 — The Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has estimated a total of 12,098 employees in the state’s local councils to fill up a survey on corruption.

Its deputy director (Prevention) Abdul Razak Deraof said the survey, which can be accessed via scanning a QR code beginning today, was issued in conjunction with the International Anti-Corruption Day.

“The survey would help MACC in facilitating and evaluating the local authorities as well as formulate and plan out initiatives on corruption prevention in the future.

“I am confident that the targetted response from all of the local authorities will be achieved,” he said after the launch of the International Anti-Corruption Day event the Klang Municipal Council (MPK), here today.

During the event, MPK employees have taken the pledged of corporate integrity and signed a memorandum of understanding with Selangor MACC, represented by MPK president Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin.

The United Nations had set the global event on December 9 to create awareness among the community on corruption.
