2021 Selangor Budget to prioritise on digitalisation

SHAH ALAM, Oct 23 — Digitalisation will be the state government’s main focus during the tabling of the 2021 Selangor Budget next week.

In line with its vision to achieve the Smart State status in the Asean region by 2025, the digitalisation of services have commenced since the Smart Selangor Policy was introduced a few years ago.

The budget this time also emphasises on the post-Covid-19 economic recovery that saw significant deterioration of up to 17 per cent this year.

The budget, which will be tabled by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on October 30 at 3pm, is aimed at assisting entrepreneurs and businesses.

Policies on food security and agriculture will also be expanded as stated in the state’s economic stimulus package to overcome the impact from the pandemic.

The tabling of the 2021 Selangor Budget will be broadcasted live from the Selangor State Legislative Assembly and can be viewed via TV Selangor at http://selangortv.my/.

The live telecast will also be screened on Media Selangor’s Facebook page.
