Selangor recorded 76 dengue cases yesterday

SHAH ALAM, Oct 22 — Selangor recorded 76 dengue cases yesterday, making it the highest in the country, according to Health Ministry's National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) data.

Based on the CPRC statistics shared at its website, http://idengue.remotesensing.gov.my, Hulu Langat recorded 13 hotspot outbreaks followed by Petaling with five locations.

The statistics also show that Johor is the second highest state with 39 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (20), Pahang (14), Melaka (13), Sabah (8) and Perak (6).

Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Kelantan and Penang each saw three cases, while Terengganu and Putrajaya with one each.

In total, Selangor registered 40,058 cases between December 29 last year until yesterday, while the accumulated total nationwide during the same period is at 80,056.
