KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 25 — GM Klang Wholesale City plans to rouse the spirit of patriotism with an exclusive Merdeka cap which will be available through the 'Kasi #SupportBaranganTempatan Lah' campaign from August 31 – September 30.
The aim is to promote the Buy Malaysian Products Campaign 2020 by the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP).
The Merdeka cap costs RM5 and will be available at its service counters and through the Gina & Mat mascot meets starting in September.
GM Klang is also offering the opportunity to win shopping incentives worth RM300.
“It is to support local products and brands at the complex aside from boosting the economy and strengthening a love for the nation,” said GM Klang in a statement yesterday.
To win special prizes during the campaign, shoppers merely have to post a snap of them wearing the Merdeka cap anywhere in GM Klang to Facebook or Instagram with the tag GM Klang and #supportbarangantempatan.
The names of 10 lucky winners will be announced in October.
Aside from this, the complex will be decorated with the Malaysian flag and handwavers given away.
