SHAH ALAM, Aug 10 — Thirty-five years of experience with the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) assured Norita Mohd Sidek to take the helm of another large state-owned company.

The new chief executive officer of the Selangor’s Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) said her skills in property development enabled her to be more focussed on managing state assets.

"This is a big responsibility given to me by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari as well as the trust of the government to jointly develop Selangor.

"My goal is to increase the efficiency of MBI and its subsidiaries thus placing Selangor as lead," said the 60-year-old figure to SelangorKini recently.

Earlier, Norita met Amirudin at the Menteri Besar's office at the State Secretariat Building and received her letter of appointment.

On August 3, Norita Mohd Sidek, who is also the former chief operating officer of PKNS, was appointed to replace YM Raja Shahreen Raja Othman whose contract expired on 30 November 2019.
