SHAH ALAM, June 11 — The residents of Taman Langat Murni and Taman Langat Utama who have been tested negative for Covid-19 are allowed to exit and enter the premises, which were placed under the semi-enhanced movement control order (SEMCO).

Kuala Langat district officer Mohd Jusni Hashim however said, the residents are still not allowed to cross state borders until the SEMCO is lifted.

"The residents who have been screened and categorised as Annex 14 are placed under self-quarantine at home while waiting for their test results.

"For those categorised under Annex 17, they are allowed to exit and enter their residences but are banned from crossing state borders while the SEMCO is still enforced," he told SelangorKini today.

“They are allowed to leave the area to purchase daily necessities and so far, they have not faced any issues with food supply."

Mohd Jusni said the total number of positive Covid-19 cases in the area remain at nine with 20 pending results, which are expected to be received by today.

The SEMCO was enforced on June 3 after 24 cleaning workers at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) were found positive for Covid-19.

A total of 4,627 Covid-19 samples were taken from the residents involving 3,686 locals and 941 foreigners.
