SHAH ALAM, May 15 — All business premises in Selangor are reminded to advise its visitors to practise the ‘3S’ — sanitise, suhu (temperature), scan — before allowing them to enter.

The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 said premise owners would have to provide hand sanitisers at the entrance for the visitors.

“The second step is to scan the body temperature. If the reading is above 37.5 Celcius, then the person would have to be turned away and advised to seek medical treatment.

“Lastly, visitors are requested to scan the SELangkah (Langkah Masuk Dengan Selamat) QR code. The manual pen and paper method should be avoided to reduce the Covid-19 transmission,” the task force said on Twitter last night.

STFC added that the SELangkah system is one of the standard operation procedures (SOPs) set by the state government and it must be complied with.

“Only the phone number will be recorded. Other personal details will be kept private.”

The Selangor government had introduced the SELangkah system on May 4, which is a Covid-19 contact tracing programme used to the record of individuals entering government or business premises.

The system was initiated to protect business premises, the customers as well as the frontliners by using a fast and simplified method in contact tracing.
