KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — GM Klang, the largest wholesale centre in Malaysia, has resumed operations on May 4 under the conditional movement control order (CMCO) with 70 per cent of its outlets have reopened and businesses expected to gain momentum in due time.

Its Advertising and Promotion Manager Norsuhaida Othman in a statement today, said GM Klang was ready to implement precautionary measures and to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the authorities to ensure a safe shopping environment for visitors.

“They include health screenings before visitors are allowed to enter the centre, hand sanitisers, social distancing in crowded areas such as elevators, ATM machines, public service counter as well as payment counters in every store.

“Traders and workers are also required to wear face masks which is important as it is expected that the complex will receive a large number of visitors as Hari Raya celebration is just around the corner,” she said.

She added that GM Klang viewed the safety of visitors seriously and always striving to provide a healthy environment to visitors while shopping.
