JAKARTA, April 16 — The number of Covid-19 positive cases in Indonesia now exceeds 5,000 with the death toll rising to 496.
A spokesman for the Indonesian Government for the Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto said 27 deaths had occurred in the last 24 hours.
From noon yesterday until noon today, 380 new positive cases were detected, resulting in a total of 5,516 positive cases,” he said.
Jakarta province recorded the highest death toll of 244 cases, followed by West Java (53 cases), East Java (46) and the rest in other provinces of Indonesia.
