KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 — The following is the morning update from the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (MCMC) Quick Response Team on countering fake news on Covid-19 on social media.
1. The management of Lepapa Hypermarket in Serian, Sarawak denies claims by certain quarters who stopped customers from buying goods there, claiming that a Covid-19 patient had been loitering in the hypermarket area, The management stressed that they had put in place prevention measures to protect the safety of customers.
2. The Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), Public Health Division, Johor Health Department denies that there is an individual who is positive for Covid-19 at Pasar Borong Pandan, Johor Bahru.
