MCO may go on until June if Malaysians are still stubborn, says IGP

SHAH ALAM, April 15 — The movement order control (MCO) may be extended until June if the public continues to flout the order, Harian Metro reported yesterday.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said the extension could happen if the number of Covid-19 cases continues to increase.

“I would like to again remind the people that the MCO will not be relaxed.

“More arrests will be made to those who defy the order,” he was quoted by the Malay daily when contacted, yesterday

The third phase of the MCO begins today for two weeks until April 28.
