SHAH ALAM, April 14 — The Tabligh gathering in Seri Petaling, from February 27 to March 1, remains the largest Covid-19 cluster in Malaysia, with 1,850 positive cases as of noon yesterday.
According to the Health Ministry, a total of 23,915 samples have been taken from the Seri Petaling cluster.
The sub-cluster in Rembau, Negri Sembilan, which is linked with the tabligh assembly, has no new cases with 40 patients out of the 53 total cases fully recovered.
The Kuching religious church ceremony cluster is the second-highest in number followed by the Bangi wedding ceremony cluster, but the number of cases for both remains the same at 117 and 96 respectively.
The imported case from Italy in Kuching dubbed the “Italy cluster”, saw five new cases, bringing the total to 50.
To date, the cumulative confirmed cases are 4,817 with 2,464 patients fully recovered, which brings a 47 per cent recovery rate.
The death toll so far is at 77.
