KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 — The following is the morning update from the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (MCMC) Quick Response Team on countering fake news on Covid-19 on social media.
1. NSC (National Security Council) denies claim over closure of almost all major roads to Kota Bharu, Kelantan, except from 8 am to 1 pm, purportedly due to Kota Bharu being declared a Covid-19 red zone.
2. NSC denies claim over distribution of face masks laced with chemicals by a group of individuals pretending to be local government representatives who rob people in their homes after they lose consciousness.
