KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — The following is the morning update from the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (MCMC) Quick Response Team on countering fake news on Covid-19 on social media.
1. The Perlis state government denies issuing a notice on a change in operating hours for businesses/ services from April 5 -14 under Phase 2 of the movement control order (MCO).
2. Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) says pictures showing no social distancing among customers at its branches is fake news
3. Health Ministry Hospital Assistants Board denies issuing an advertisement for hiring Hospital Assistants on contract basis.
