Go cashless to avoid becoming victim of crime

SHAH ALAM, April 2 — The public is reminded to use cashless transactions when shopping during the movement control order (MCO) period, says the Selangor Entrepreneur, Rural, Village and Traditional Village Development Committee chairman.

Rodziah Ismail said crime activities such as robberies and snatch thefts could take place as the country enters the second phase of the MCO.

"Avoid carrying a lot of cash when you go out shopping.

"Given that businesses in Selangor are already using the cashless payment methods, it is best to opt for it to reduce the risk of becoming a victim," she said in a statement today.

Rodziah advised the public to stay alert and carry out several preventive measures, which includes keeping all the house doors and gates locked.

"Make sure vehicles are always locked if it is parked outside of the house and avoid keeping valuables in the cars," she said.
