KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 — All the 19 Malaysian tourists who were reported to be stranded in Spain due to flight cancellations in view of Covid-19 have safely returned home as of March 19, said First Secretary of Embassy of Malaysia in Madrid in Spain, Muhammad Azfar Abdullah.

“The Embassy was able to assist them to contact airlines that were still operating at the time, and advised the Malaysians on the available route,” he said in a reply statement emailed to Bernama.

Wisma Putra, in a statement earlier, said that 19 Malaysians were reported to be stranded in Spain as the country has imposed travel restrictions to contain Covid-19.
