SHAH ALAM, March 18 — The Selangor government is prepared to assist students of institutions of higher learning from the state studying in Sabah and Sarawak to return home as directed by the Higher Education Ministry.
Selangor Menteri Besar, Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said the ministry's instruction for all students to vacate their institutions was provided under the Movement Control Order announced by the federal government starting today until March 31.
He said following the Movement Control Order, all state government dealings would be conducted online.
“These involved all matters of the State Government Secretariat, and other state government offices including local authorities,” he said in statement here yesterday.
In line with the order, all morning markets, night markets and roadside markets would not be allowed to operate except market found inside a building.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday announced Malaysia would be enforcing Movement Control Order until March 31 nationwide to curb the spread of Covid-19 infection.
