SINGAPORE, March 12 — Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) has reported 12 more cases of Covid-19, including eight which were imported.
This brings the total number of cases to 178.
In a statement yesterday, MOH said one of the imported cases involved a 37-year-old female British national.
She had been in Japan from February 24 to March 4, and the UK from March 4 to March 8.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection this morning, and is currently placed in an isolation ward.
The other imported case is a 56-year-old female Indonesian who arrived in Singapore on March 9.
She was reported to have onset of symptoms on March 6 while in Indonesia.
The other imported cases involved a Filipino national and Singapore citizens.
According to MOH, three more Covid-19 patients have been discharged from hospital, bringing the total to 96.
Of the 82 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving while nine are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
As at noon, MOH has identified 4,218 close contacts who have been quarantined.
