SINGAPORE, Feb 7 — Singapore is planning a second evacuation flight from Wuhan, the epicentre of the 2019 novel coronavirus.

The first flight on January 30 evacuated 92 Singaporeans from Wuhan.

According to a spokesperson at the republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the Singapore government continues to be in discussions with Chinese authorities on the plans for the second flight.

The spokesperson said this in response to media queries on whether there are arrangements to facilitate the return of more Singaporeans from Wuhan in Hubei province, to Singapore.

The ministry strongly urged Singaporeans in Wuhan and other cities in Hubei who have yet to contact the Singapore Embassy in Beijing or the MFA and would like to return to Singapore, to do so as soon as possible.
