SUBANG JAYA, Feb 3 — Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Subang Jaya receives RM19,994 funding to fix its covered walkaway that has been worn down since two years ago.

Subang Jaya state assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze said the 68-metre walkway connecting the school buildings has been infested by termites.

“SMK Subang Jaya was built in the 1980s, which makes it the oldest school here, therefore it requires many restorations works to its infrastructure, including its halls and walls.

“We have appealed to the education ministry to allocate funds for the upgrading works for the school. I hope to see that the renovation would lift the spirits of the teachers, students, and staff,” she said at a press conference in SMK Subang Jaya here today.

Also present at the event was the school’s headmaster Mohd Zailani Othman and the vice president of the parent-teacher association, Nasarudin Ibrahim

SMK Subang Jaya is a secondary school situated in SS14 of Subang Jaya and was the first school established in the Subang Jaya region in 1981.
