SHAH ALAM, 22 Oct — The continuous rainy and thunderstorms weather is expected to take place in Selangor until the coming Monday (October 28).

The Malaysia Meteorological Department on its website stated that Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Petaling, and Gombak districts will be facing the wet season.

Other areas affected include Klang, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor and Sabak Bernam.

On October 15, the Selangor Disaster Management Unit reported that nine districts in Selangor are at risk of flash floods due to high recorded rainfall expected late this year.

The report stated that the Selangor Meteorological Department forecasted an average rainfall between 240 and 360 millimetres (mm) in October, 250 and 370mm in November, and 200 and 300mm in December.

The state government urged the public to be alert of the high-risk areas and take precautionary actions.
