SHAH ALAM, 21 Oct — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) hopes to see new talents in football to be developed from the Paya Jara Mini Stadium in Sungai Buloh.
Shah Alam mayor Dato’ Haris Kasim said it is not impossible that the fresh and young talents would be able to make the nation proud in prestigious tournaments on a global scale.
“MBSA is ready to cooperate with any sports associations or NGOs to strengthen sports activities, not to only form a healthy unity within the community but to elevate the image and performance of the organisation, states as well as the country,” he said at the launch of Paya Jaras Mini Stadium yesterday.
Haris said other than producing talents, the stadium can be used by the public to carry out various community programmes.
The schedule for the usage of the facility has been arranged by MBSA.
The cost of the Paya Jaras MBSA Mini Stadium was RM7.2 million and it is completed with several amenities such as meeting rooms, changing rooms, podium, prayer room, and parking space.
