KUALA SELANGOR - A total of 70 compounds were issued by the Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS) for failing to display a parking coupon on its first day of operation on 3 September.
Its President, Rahilah Rahmat, said a sum of RM 10 would be given to those who will make payment within 24 hours and would increase to RM 30 within 14 days if payment was late.
“However, the first day of implementation of the system went smoothly and most users understood and complied with the implementation," said Rahilah
"There are only a handful of users who are still confused about the implementation date that began on 3 August, but MDKS will continue to conduct the public consultation process through Facebook and on our official site," he tadded.
Rahilah said people could get scratch coupons through 140 agents who were appointed in all areas of parking operations.
He said that for the convenience of users, they could also use the 'Smart Selangor Parking' and 'Flexi Parking' applications which can be downloaded through Google Play store and Apple app store.
“In addition, MDKS also offers a RM 60 monthly pass promotion price from September to December 2019 and from 1 January, 2020 the monthly pass will be priced at RM 70 per month.
"People can purchase the monthly passes by calling 0332811654 to order it," he said.
