SHAH ALAM - Smart PJ Waste Solution Lab @ SS2 Open Day, organized by Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) on 20 April, received an encouraging response from locals.
The Secretariat of the Media Unit of Corporate Communications said that organizing the programme in conjunction with Earth Day that is celebrated on every year on 22 April, is an effort to cherish and inculcate responsibility as well as raise awareness among the public to protect the environment and the earth.
"The programme is divided into two sessions, the first session from 10 am to 12 pm and the second session from 2 pm to 4 pm."
"Among the activities carried out throughout the program include the sale of plant material such as liquid compost, seedling, seeds and demonstration of hydroponic vegetable cultivation methods," said the secretariat in a statement.
The event, which took place at Jalan SS 2/63, Petaling Jaya, also gave out a prize of liquid compost in 1.5 liters bottles to the earliest 300 visitors.
