SHAH ALAM - The Selangor State Level of the Maulidur Rasul Celebration 1440H / 2018M is made more meaningful when Duli Yang Maha Mulia the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is present for the celebration.
His presence was accompanied by Dato 'Menteri Besar, Amirudin Shari and Dato' State Secretary, Dato 'Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya.
The celebration was held at Malawati Stadium, Shah Alam, and was filled with the reading of the Holy Quran verses, prophet prayers, multimedia presentations, nasyid performances and a special Maulidur Rasul Tazkirah.
At the event,Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah presented the prizes for the winners of the Selangor State's Best Surau, the Best Khatib of the State of Selangor, the Best Banner and the Best Parade Contingent.
The Best Surau category of Selangor was won by Surau Al-Ikhwan, Taman Samudra Batu Caves which received a donation of RM10,000, a certificate of appreciation and a trophy.
While the second place was won by Surau Al-Hijrah, Sepang Heritage City with a cash prize of RM7,000 and third Surau Al-Kauthar Section 4, Bandar Baru Bangi took home a RM5,000 prize.
Mohd Faisal Mohd Noor from the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Mosque was awarded with a cash prize of RM3,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
Mohd Faizan Taajud from Universiti Teknologi Mara Mosque (UiTM) won second place and Mohd Fakhrurrazi Mohd Hanapi from Al-Falah Mosque in third with each prize of RM2,000 and RM1,000 respectively.
