BANGI - Two educational programs, RHB X-Cel and RHB Money Monster, under the banking group, RHB through the RHB Foundation (RHBF), were launched here at the RHB Complex in Bangi today.
The launch was officiated by Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari.
“I am happy to launch initiatives which will help charter a better future for our children, the future leaders of Malaysia,” said Amirudin.
Amirudin believes the program could help lift the level of education and knowledge especially among the B40 students.
“Not only they will have a chance to be excellent in academics but also be financially literate to achieve financial freedom,” he said.
RHBF allocates about RM2 million for the future generation development program of the country.
RHBF chairman, Dato 'Khairussaleh Ramli said RHBF targets youths with potential in education but are less fortunate by providing workshops in excellence and tuition classes.
"We provide this platform to enable students with the potential to reach excellence and outstanding achievements and in the academic field," he said in his speech at the RHB X-Cel Program at the RHB Complex today.
He added that the newly introduced RHB X-Cel this year also involved 800 students from 18 schools throughout the country.
"We target 1,000 students to participate in the program by 2019, and in the meantime, recognizing the importance of financial management, RHB also provides the RHB Money Monster Program" .
"It is targeting young people in high school, university and youth students," he said.
Also present were Deputy Director of Examination Board (Operations), Izehari Basar and Deputy Director of School Management Division, Pesol Md Saad.
