KUALA LUMPUR: Ministry of Economic Affairs will be holding the Bumiputera and National Future Congress 2018 (KBN 2018) this coming Sept 1.
Through the congress, the government will be looking to draft new policies, create stratergic collablration opportunities as well as identify new and penetrable development fields.
Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali said this is part of the government's effort to empower the economic agenda of Bumiputera entrepreneurs.
"The Government will too prioritise on expanding the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to move up the value chain.
"This Congress aims to produce a resolution that would assist the government in coming up with short, medium and long term plan and methods to ensure that its continuous and consistent towards achieving the effective Bumiputera Economic agenda," he said in a statement.
Azmin also expressed his confidence in these new efforts as well as its potential to bring confidence in Bumiputera's capability to drive the national economy.
