SHAH ALAM, OCT 2: His Royal Highness the Selangor Sultan, attended the garland placing ceremony at the Tugu Peringatan Selangor today.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with the Hari Pahlawan celebration for Selangor for this year.
His Majesty was ushered by Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, other State Excos and the rest of the state leaders.
Before the garland ritual, the Sultan received the royal salute and inspected the guards of honour.
The ceremony continued with a ‘sajak’ recitation entitled “Pahlawan” which was delivered by Assistant Superintendent Pathu Rahman Esa from the Royal Malaysian Police and Corporal Siti Nur Aini Jasni from the Malaysian Armed Forces.
Dato’ Menteri Besar took his turn, after His Majesty, followed by the other distinguished guests.
The ceremony ended with the Selangor Sultan signing the guest book and leaving the event.
