SHAH ALAM, SEP 29: His Royal Highness the Selangor Sultan, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah presented the letter of appointment to Mohammad Adib Hussain, 49, as the Selangor Syarie Chief Judge, at the Istana Bukit Kayangan, today.
His appointment was effective July 3, made in accordance with Section 56 of the 2003 (Selangor) Islamic Religious Administration Enactment.
Sultan Sharafuddin also appointed Saarani Ismail, Dato’ Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar and Mohd Amran Mat Zain as Selangor Syariah Appeal Court Judges.
Besides them, Zulfikri Yasoa and Abdul Shukor Abd Hamid were appointed as Selangor Syariah High Court Judges.
Another seven were appointed as Selangor Syariah Lower Court Judges. They were Mohd Husni Mohd Said, Mohd Syafiq Ibrahim, Rashidah Sapingi @ Shafie, Mohd Taufik Kamarudin, Mazrul Anis, Siti Aminah Kamal and Noranizan Mohd Sufian.
Meanwhile, Naseha Omar, Nurzihidaya Musleh, Zuraida Hamzah and Muhammad Faizal Abdullah were appointed as Selangor Syariah Lower Court Assistant Registrar.
Also present were State Government Excos, Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad, Dato’ Dr Ahmah Yunus Hairi and Zaidy Abdul Talib as well as State Government Secretary, Dato’ Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya.
