SHAH ALAM, SEPT 19: Mohd Helmi Azman is again aiming to double the podium in the Underbone 150cc at the FIM Asian Motorcycle Racing (ARRC) Round 5 at Madras Motor Racing Circuit, Chennai, India on this Sept 22 until 24.
The Onexox TKKR Racing rider said he is confident of repeating his achievements on winning third place in Race 1 and emerges as runner-up in Race 2 on fourth round action at Sentul Antarabansa Circuit, Indonesia, last August.
"My action this season is rather consistent except when in Suzuka. Two podiums won in Indonesia boosted my confident to once again get on the podium this week.
"The team also provided good machinery. Only the 3.717 kilometres circuits are quite unfamiliar to me and the team but we are confident of adjusting quickly," said Helmi, who is now ranked fourth with 87 points.
After four rounds, compatriot Md Akid Aziz (UMA Racing Yamaha Maju Motor) topped the overall chart with 131 points followed by Indonesian rider Wahyu Aji Trilaksana (Yamaha Racing Indonesia), 115 points and Md Izzat Zaidi Salehan (RCB Kage Motobatt Yamaha YY Pang Racing) third, 94 points.
The last time ARRC competition took place at the Madras Motor Racing Circuit, Chennai was in 2013.
