SHAH ALAM, AUG 23: A total of 430 participants attended the Program Khatam dan Tadabbur Al-Qur’an for women in Selangor, held for the 25th time, yesterday.
Selangor Welfare and Charity Organisation (PEKAWANIS) Chairman, Datin Seri Shamshida Taharin said, the programme has been running since 2015 following encouraging response.
She said, the programme aims to educate Muslims particularly women to be closer to Allah by reciting and understanding the al-Quran.
“This is among the little things that we do continuously and regularly so that we are rewarded by Allah S.W.T.
“The programme can also strengthen ties between women in Selangor regardless of rank or position,” she said.
She added, every women in Selangor should attend the programme in making the al-Quran as a life guide.
Interestingly, this time Ustazah Fatimah Zahra who is also Shamsida’s teacher participated by giving a brief ‘tazkirah’, live through Facebook.
